43 HOOPS KICK START SOCCER PROGRAM

Starting in March
Ages 3-6

The primary instructor for all ages will be Becca Neuger, a former three-sport college athlete and exercise science major whose has done extensive training with young children. Becca's philosophy is "the best way to develop soccer talent is to learn how to move with and without the ball and to have fun."

Overall objectives for participants in the 43 Hoops Kick Start Soccer Program:

Have fun and be active
Build confidence
Develop balance, coordination, and physical awareness
Get early touches on the ball (It takes a million touches to become elite!)
Learn the value of teamwork and sportsmanship

3-Year-Olds (birthday between Aug 1, 2008 and July 31, 2009):

Learn basic athletic movements (run, skip, bear crawl, etc.)
Learn to move the ball with the feet
Emphasis on cooperation and teamwork

4-Year-Olds (birthday between Aug 1, 2007 and July 31, 2008):

Learn intermediate athletic movements (lunges, jumps, backwards running)
Basic drills and games emphasizing passing, shooting, and defending
Learn soccer positions

5-Year-Olds (birthday between Aug 1, 2006 and July 31, 2007):

Learn advanced athletic movements through agility drills
Learn the rules of the game (out of bounds, throw-ins, goalie uses hands, etc.)
Emphasis on sportsmanship

*The student-to-instructor ratio for all classes will be 6:1 or lower.

*Cost: $125 for 1 day/week or $200 for 2 days/week
